This creamy avocado dressing and dip uses just five simple ingredients and comes together in the blender until luxuriously smooth and thick.

I eat avocado in some form almost every day. I slice it and add it to eggs, burgers, chicken, sandwiches, and salads — it pairs well with so many things.
This recipe isn’t trying to be anything other than avocado-forward. It tastes like avocado, because it is avocado.

The texture is very smooth and creamy.

This dressing is thick, so it won’t pour like a vinaigrette. For salads I like to use a squeeze bottle or simply dollop it over the greens and mix it in with a fork.
My favorite uses for this creamy avocado dressing and dip are tacos and burrito bowls. It’s also excellent spooned over omelets, used as a dip for raw vegetables or grilled skewers, spread on sandwiches, or slathered on burgers.
I especially enjoy it on my Turkey Taco Skillet.

What can’t you do with it? Well, probably don’t put it on cereal — aside from that, it’s very versatile.
If you prefer a thinner dressing, there are plenty of other options to try, such as fruit-based dressings or classic vinaigrettes.
