Have you ever been to a gathering where the host served fresh fruit with a sweet, creamy dip? That’s fruit dip — a luscious, thicker, and sweeter cousin of whipped cream. This two-ingredient recipe is my go-to: simple, fast, and always a hit at brunches, potlucks, and showers. With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s a perfect last-minute dessert idea you can assemble in minutes. It pairs especially well with strawberries, but works with a wide variety of fruit.
Fruit Dip
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 2 jars (7 oz each) marshmallow creme/fluff (you can also use one 13 oz jar)
Directions
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme together until smooth and fully combined. You can use an electric mixer for a silky texture or stir by hand for a slightly denser result. Transfer to a serving bowl and chill briefly if you prefer a firmer dip.
Serve with fresh fruit such as strawberries, cherries, banana slices, pineapple chunks, apple wedges, or grapes. The dip also works well with graham crackers, pretzels, or cookies for dipping.
Storage: Keep any leftover dip refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. Stir gently before serving if it separates slightly.
