Houston Chocolate Pizazz Hall of Fame: Top Confections & Winners

I love shows like “TBIEA”, “Triple D”, and “MvF.” If you’re a foodie, you know what I mean; if not, see the note below. I even fantasize about having my own show like those one day. 🙂

Whenever I watch TBIEA, I always wonder: could I truly call something “the best I ever ate”? I found a place that might deserve that title — Chocolate Pizazz in Houston.

Helen and Jeri have built a remarkable chocolate shop in the heart of Memorial that makes me want to shout from the highest rooftop. Too bad Houston is flat!

What began as a hobby while their kids were in school has grown into a thriving business. These two know how to make irresistible treats.

They combine chocolate with everything I love, coating and surrounding each item so generously it feels like the chocolate has been layered again and again.

Everything I tried there may well have been the best I’ve had in its category.

This isn’t delicate, artisan truffles—this is joyful, unapologetic chocolate-coated food.

Popcorn, Oreos (including double-stuff), marshmallows, moon pies, pretzels — I couldn’t stop sampling. Each item is drenched in rich chocolate and then lavishly covered in toppings: M&Ms, toffee, colored sugar, butterscotch chips, drizzles of chocolate, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips — you get the idea.

The “Celebration” popcorn is possibly the most exuberant popcorn topping combination I’ve ever encountered. The Peppermint Chocolate Bark ranks among the best I’ve tasted, too.

They even use double-stuff Oreos, and they coat them in a high-end chocolate (their trade secret). The result is amazing. I must stop writing before I jump in the car and drive four hours just to get more — although you can order online.

If you need a fun chocolate gift, order from Chocolate Pizazz online. It’s a delightful, memorable present.

Tell them I sent you!
