Maple Bacon Onion Jam — does anything sound better than that?

I recently tried Stonewall Kitchen’s Maple Bacon Onion Jam along with their Roasted Tomato Balsamic Vinaigrette. Both were fantastic. The vinaigrette is excellent drizzled over a green salad (especially with some bacon) or used as a marinade for summer grilling.

I’ve already started imagining so many uses — from grilled cheese to stuffed chicken breasts — and it’s quickly become my go-to burger topping.

One favorite idea: combine a little mascarpone or cream cheese with the jam in filo cups for a simple, elegant appetizer. Bake them at 350°F until warm and lightly browned, then garnish with fresh thyme. They’re effortless and always a crowd-pleaser.

What I appreciate about Stonewall Kitchen’s products is how they transform ordinary meals into something special. The company began in 1991 selling homemade jams and sauces at a local farmers’ market and has since grown into a major name in specialty foods. Ingredients

  • 1.25 pounds ground chuck
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • green leaf lettuce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Maple Bacon Onion Jam, Stonewall Kitchen

Instructions

  • Season the ground chuck generously with salt and pepper, then form into four patties.
  • Heat a grill to medium-high. Grill the burgers 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness. Add a slice of provolone to each patty about one minute before removing so it can melt.
  • Place a leaf of green leaf lettuce on each toasted bun and top with the burger.
  • Spread 1–2 tablespoons of Maple Bacon Onion Jam on each burger and serve.
