With three boys, they’re constantly growing out of clothes, and keeping up can be a challenge. Each child has different needs, which is why I appreciate services that simplify shopping. If you enjoy receiving quality kids’ clothing on a regular basis, FabKids is a solid option. This children’s fashion brand and personalized shopping service curates monthly outfits and shoes for boys and girls, and VIP members get access to competitive pricing. Last month I was invited to choose items for my boys to try, and after narrowing my picks I selected a three-pack of tees and a separate outfit for my youngest.
Since Wesley likes wearing hoodies with the hood up, the Surf Academy Hooded Tee is a perfect summer compromise. He gets his hood and still stays cool thanks to the short sleeves.
Wesley is my little guy, and buying sizes ahead—especially for summer—can be tricky. He has a very small waist and tends to wear bottoms for a long time. He turned three in March, and I’m still deciding what size shorts will fit him best. Many 2T items are still a bit big. I liked that this set let me mix sizes: I ordered a size 3 for the top and size 2 for the bottom. Both pieces are slightly roomy, so I expect they’ll last through the summer.
I really like the longer length of the Shark Cargo Shorts, and Wesley is thrilled with the shark print and the pockets for stashing his treasures.
Warren received the Surfer Graphic Tee in size 6/7. He normally fits a 7/8, but I thought the larger size might be too roomy. Because the tee has a slimmer cut, I would consider ordering one size up next time so it lasts longer, even if it ends up a bit long. Warren wears slim pants, and this narrow-fit shirt looks great on him for now, though it may not last the entire season.
Lucian loves his Pirates Rock Graphic Tee. It has a longer, slim fit that suits him well. He prefers black and gray, and the tee looks cool on its own for summer or layered under a jacket in cooler months.
One feature I appreciated was the option to choose a three-pack of shirts in different sizes. That makes it easy to grab at least one item for each child in a single order. The clothing quality is good and the fabric feels soft. FabKids also recently added boys’ shoe options, which I’m excited to try. For parents of girls, the dresses are gorgeous and offer many lovely choices.
FabKids lets you sign up for free to browse sizes from 2 up to 11/12. Outfits are priced at $29.95, and other items start around $14.95. The brand emphasizes a variety of stylish, durable options that allow kids to express their personalities while standing up to everyday play.
